AGORA consortium was established in January 1995. Organizational structure: Agorà Consortium clusters fifteen Social Cooperatives operating in the Liguria region. The headquarters, based in Genoa, host management and administration staff. Operations offices are distributed throughout the Region, managing Health care services, Educational and Social services for children, young people, disabled persons, disadvantaged people and elderly people. Agora also manages labour market inclusion (guidance and support)  services for  disadvantaged people.  Sources of funding:

a) local level: social policies of the Genoa municipality funds, local banks and    foundations charities funds,

b) regional level: Regional funds for labour market inclusion, training support, elderly support and women’s entrepreneurship, c) national level: Welfare Ministry funds for labour market inclusion and training support; Governmental gender mainstream policies funds; Governmental integration policies for immigrants,

d) european level:  Structural Funds (ESF and EFRD). Experience in managing grants: from 2003 - 2008 transnational projects within the Equal Initiative -

1.“E-Le-Change” (Agora applicant): to improve the skills of social co-operation workers;
2.WIP (Agora partner): to improve the presence of social co-operation through communication and promotion;

3. Sophia (Agora partner): to improve employment in rural environments;

4. FLES (Agora partner): to improve the skills of social co-operation managers;

5. G.E.P. Genoa Employment project (Agora partner): to build, to test and propose an integrated system of guidance and supporting services to employment for the disadvantaged  people.

 


DESINCOOP – Desenvolvimento Económico, Social e Cultural, CRL - established in May 2005, employ 1 permanent staff and 22 independent consultants, trainers and experts. The legal structure is - Assemby members, Board, Fiskal Assembly. The internal structure is: project department, training department and social and cultural department. The usual source of funding are Structural Funds, Govermental dotations and members contributions. DESINCOOP is experience in managing grants: in period 2000 - 2008 realised several project financed within a framework of European Social Fund as a lider and as a partner. In 2009 implemented project within the Progress Programme as a project partner.
